Slime Virus: fixed an error where the skill transparency settings of other characters did not apply to this skill.Unstable Memorize: when a skill that has no SP invested in it is used, you will now perform a special action.Pierce Cyclone: final attack’s damage has been increased from 2400% to 3000%, number of hits has been increased from 12 to 15, the final attack can now activate Aura Weapon’s wave.Grand Cross: you can now move while casting this skill, damage reduction has been changed to 50% at all levels, cooldown has been decreased from 180 seconds to 150 seconds, attack range before the cross grows in size has been increased by 20%, time before the cross grows has been decreased.Paladin Expert: critical damage boost has been increased from 8% to 15%.
We have made it easier to use Grand Cross, which was difficult to use because of its range.
Sword of Burning Soul: fixed status’ range has been increased, can now be saved using Buff Freezers. Combo Attack: you can now right-click the skill icon in the skill window to turn the Combo effect on/off, the number of Combo counters can now be checked in the buff section in the top right part of the window. Blitz Shield: fixed an error where the shield could not be manually exploded if you changed channels after using it. Overdrive: attack boost has been increased from 50% to 70%. By increasing the skill’s attack boost, we hope to increase its value. Overdrive was not good enough to be worth the penalty after using it, so it was less useful than other classes’ skills. Guided Arrow: duration has been increased from 30 to 60 seconds, cooldown has been increased from 30 to 60 seconds, number of attacks has been increased from 45 to 90. Guided Arrow was very inconvenient to use every 30 seconds, so we have increased both its duration and cooldown to reduce tediousness while maintaining its performance. Aura Weapon: fixed an error where Aura Weapon’s wave’s damage and number of hits were not affected by +damage/+number of hit boosts to the attacking skill that activated the wave. Erda Shower: the skill effect will now remain where the skill was cast. Final Attack skills: skills that are considered Final Attack skills will now display that attribute in their skill descriptions. They will now state in the skill descriptions if they are. Several different skills that create additional attacks have been added and their names are quite varied, so it was difficult to understand which were Final Attack type skills. In the case of summons, normally, they are not protected by Buff Freezers but when they are core skills to a class, it becomes a disadvantage compared to other classes and we would like to have them apply. We also want to increase consistency and emphasize certain class characteristics.Īs a result, certain classes’ Double Jump skills have a longer action delay than others have been adjusted and Buff Freezers will apply to more summons. 
The goal of these balance adjustments is to adjust skills where the skill concepts and performance do not match or their identities are weak.

This patch also contains the skill balancing from the last test server patch (as well as some extra changes) and the Christmas event for this year. This patch contains a pre-registration event so technically, the Adventure update will not start until January 10 (official server, test server patch should be on January 3). First of all, this winter’s update is called MapleStory Adventure! There’s not much information about it so far but it does have something to do with a place called Adventure Island. The first patch for the winter has been released, and it’s a bit disappointing haha.
